On Friday I motored Halo round to Evans Bay for a 9 am appointment with Sven at the Travel Lift.
I washed the hull and then Sven parked Halo on the hard stand.
New Speed Through the Water Sensor
With Sven’s help we enlarged the thru-hole to fit the new NASA Clipper Electromagnetic Speed sensor. Sealed the hole with Sikaflax then applied undercoat and then some antifoul around the hole. This instrument will allow us to monitor speed through the water (STW) in addition to our speed over ground (SOG) instrument.
While waiting for paint to dry, I wired up the transducer to the new instrument display and connected the NMEA data into the multiplexer.

Toilet Holding Tank Indicator
Also finished wiring up the new Trudesign Holding Tank indicator.
New Zinc Anode
Replaced the 1″ Zinc Anode on the prop shaft.

With Grant’s help we launched Halo back in the water on Tuesday and motored back to Chaffers marina.
