Crew: Jamie, Dan, Adrian, Geoff.
Forecast: Northerly 20 kts gusting 30 kts. Lovely sunny day – if somewhat breezy!
The Evans Bay race was cancelled for the day. Jamie had a couple of mates visiting from Switzerland. They’d never been sailing before, and only in Wellington for one day, so we took them out for a short blat.
It was pretty windy as we cast off from Chaffers Marina at 1020 hrs. We put a reef in the mainsail, hoisted our small no. 3 jib, and had fun sailing within the relatively sheltered inner harbour between Oriental Bay and the Container Terminal.

We watched Zimmerframe come screaming down the harbour with spinnaker and full main flying to win the Port Nik 2-handed race. Gucci followed close behind.

We were safely tied up back in our berth at 1130 hrs.
