We found the impeller had two vanes missing. Isaac fished them out of the heat exchange – plus a third vane.Nice clean Racor fuel filterThe steel bracket that the relay box is mounted on was broken again so Issac removed it and took it back to the workshop to re-weld with a reinforcing bracket.
Other sundry boat projects completed:
Replaced old spinnaker winches with new Harken winches. The same model as the cabin-top winches: Harken 1SP B8A.Stern light mounting. Removed the old 3-ply mounting and reinstalled on a piece of polyethylene resin cutting board.Replaced the Tweaker and Gybe Preventer blocks and added a protective sheath to reduce wear on the aluminium toe-rail.Resolved the problem of the spinnaker halyard splice getting jammed in the masthead block by replacing splice with a Halyard Hitch knot.New Plastimo Contest 101 Bulkhead Mount CompassInstalled quick release catches on the electrical switch board panel.
