Forecast: Southerly 10 knots easing to variable 5 knots early this evening.
The EBYMBC Race was set to start at 13154 hrs.
Graciela and I motored Halo round to Evans Bay to meet Murray only to find the race had been cancelled due to lack of wind (and boats).
We decided to go round Point Halswell to Kau Bay for lunch. Tied up at the club mooring, ate our sandwiches and Geoff had a swim. Cleaned algae off the prop, shaft and thru holes.
Very hot day (29 degrees) and water was lovely.
Southerly wind came up to 9 kts and we sailed (Main and No.1 LT Genoa) back to Chaffers Marina at 1450 hrs with Graciela doing a great job on helm.
