After 2 weeks on the hard at Evans Bay Boatyard repainting hull with antifoul and various other maintenance items we were ready to sail Halo back home to Chaffers Marina. Grant agreed to come with me.
After lowering Halo into the water at 1430 hrs we started motoring into a strong northerly and then raised the Mainsail and No. 3 Headsail as we arrived at Point Halswell and sailed at a good speed towards Eastbourne. Turned around at 1530 hrs and sped towards Lambton Harbour reaching up to 7 kts SOG. Seems like the nice smooth hull definitely makes a difference!
