Lazy Sunday Afternoon – 17 Jan 2016

Crew: Graciela and Geoff

Marine Forecast : Variable 5 knots. Southerly 10 knots developing this afternoon and rising to southeast 15 knots. Areas of fog about the south coast, spreading elsewhere this evening.

Very warm morning, 24 degrees, no wind, so decided to take Halo out somewhere nice for a swim. Motored across the harbour to Shelly Bay and put the anchor down. The southerly was coming up by then so we pulled up anchor and moved around Pt Halswell to Kau Bay where it was dead calm.

Put the anchor down and had a lovely “lazy sunday afternoon”. We both had swims, read books, rested and had lunch and watched the fog roll into the harbour from the south.

Geoff tested the dinghy (found one of the patches not sealed properly), cleaned the hull with the brush and checked/cleaned the speed log transducer.

Sailed back to marina with the mainsail up and Graciela doing a great job on helm. Thinks she saw a little blue penguin.
