G&G First Time Two-handed – 6 Sept 2015

Marine Forecast: Southerly 15 knots, rising to 20 knots this afternoon then turning southwest 20 knots this evening. Sea becoming moderate for a time this afternoon. Fine spells.

First time Graciela and Geoff have taken Halo out sailing two-handed. All went very well. And with practice even better.

Used mainsail and No. 3 jib. Calm conditions until we reached Evans Bay where a fairly strong southerly provided some good action. Lots of tacking practice.

On way back we went into Oriental Bay for a break where it was very calm Didn’t need to put the anchor down.. We had our sandwiches and then sailed back tp Chaffers.
